Banana Cream Pie Parfait IN A JAR!

The perfect dessert does exist…and you can effortlessly make it in our Azure Canning Co. jars!


When you don’t have the time to put together a whole Banana Cream Pie…this is the next best thing. Azure’s Shredded Coconut (BP259) with homemade coconut whipped cream (GY1441) top off this delicious and easy dessert you can throw together for a fun kitchen project with your littles.


Put it in your Azure Canning Co. jar for an absolutely beautiful presentation or even to take on-the-go for your next picnic. We plan to make some of these up for our yearly brunch on Easter Sunday.


From our kitchen to yours, I hope you enjoy this sweet treat!



Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups non fat Greek yogurt (DP058)

  • 1 cup milk (DP571)

  • 1.7 oz pack of banana pudding mix (GY1612)

  • 2 cups crushed graham crackers (SN934)

  • 2 ripe bananas sliced

  • 2 cups whipped cream (GY1441)

  • ¼ cup coconut flakes (BP259)




Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, stir yogurt, milk and pudding mix together until creamy.

  2. To assemble parfaits, add ¼ cup crushed graham crackers to the bottom of jar, top that with ¼ cup banana cream filling and a layer of sliced bananas.

  3. Repeat step 2.

  4. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

  5. Top with a dollop of whipped cream and toasted coconut before serving.




Notes:

  • To toast coconut, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place coconut flakes on a small baking sheet and bake for 2-4 minutes until toasted. Cool and sprinkle on top of parfaits.


  • For the coconut whipped cream, use Azure Market Coconut Whipping Cream (GY1441). Add it to a stand mixer and whip until light and fluffy.


  • The filling makes a yummy dip to serve with whole graham crackers or fresh fruit, too!
