Canning Jar Snowglobe

This is a fun craft you can make with your kids over winter break. Use it as sensory play or as a pretty decoration during the holiday season.

Tip: Use sandpaper to rough up the spot where you plan to glue the tree onto the lid. This will help it stick better.

Supplies Needed:

Azure Canning Co. Jar

Cement Glue

Glitter

Glycerin

Water

Mini Tree Figurine

Instructions:

  1. Fill the jar with water, leaving about 2 inches from the top.

  2. Add about 1 teaspoon of glycerin.

  3. Add as much glitter as you want.

  4. Using appropriate glue (I used cement glue), attach the bottom of the tree to the inside of the jar lid.

  5. Let dry completely before submerging the lid in the water.

  6. Secure the lid, then shake the jar and watch the “snow” fall!
