COLD BREW COFFEE IS A CINCH! Make your own at home!

Updated: Apr 21

Did you know it's incredibly simple and cost-effective to make your own cold brew coffee at home? I always assumed you needed some expensive machine to do it right, but that's not the case, my friends!

Azure partnered with Brewing America to create this simple Azure Market Cold Brew Maker (NF2528 or NF2529), and the resulting coffee is game-changing. What I loved about it at first was its simplicity—no electricity, no pressure, nothing fancy is needed to make cold brew—just the perfect filter, a high-quality jar, and a super-sealing, leak-proof lid.

If, like me, you are selective about the coffee beans you use, brewing your own is even better. We made It's Ewe Time Cold Brew Coffee (CS395) to pair with our Cold Brew Maker, but you can use any of our other beans or whatever you have on hand.

I'll show you the steps to craft your perfect brew below, but not before I share what I loved MOST about this! I loved how smooth it tasted! The flavor experience was a lot different from the hot coffee ritual I partake in each and every morning. The flavor was even and relaxing, with no bitterness at all. Add the fact that cold brew processing results in less acidity, which is far better for my acid reflex issue, and I was pretty much sold.

But then, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed ice-cold coffee! I found it was actually the perfect pick-me-up in the afternoon, and because I could just grab it from the fridge and pour a couple ounces, it was a good way to get a small caffeine boost without overdoing it. I did enjoy adding some cream to it, but I found it didn't need any sweetener at all. If you do like your coffee sweet, I imagine maple syrup would be the ideal addition.

I love having it ready to go by the half-gallon in my fridge. But one more thing I love? How inexpensive it is! The Azure Market Cold Brew Maker is very affordable at around $25 (for the Quart) or $30 (for the Half Gallon), which is the cost of just a few coffees at a café. But I'll now be able to make endless cups of cold brew for pennies on the dollar!

Once you've made your cold brew batch, keep it in the fridge to make frappés and iced lattes. Or, if you're short on time and want a hot coffee, use the refrigerated concentrate and add boiling hot water for a cup of hot coffee to go!

You can also brew tea in this! Say goodbye to burst tea bags, microplastics in your beverage, and using tea balls that leak leaves. This fine mesh filter works just perfectly for loose tea, too.

One last bonus: You can use the Brewing America wide-mouth drinking/pour lid on any wide-mouth glass jar (quart, pint-and-half, half-gallon). I love to use mine as a lid for my water bottle- it never leaks!

For a smooth and balanced cold coffee beverage, the Azure Market Cold Brew Maker is the obvious choice! Have you tried it yet?

Is the 24-48 hour steep time on the counter or in the refrigerator?

Approximately how much hot water is needed to be added to concentrate to make 1 cup of hot coffee? 50/50?

Greetings, jcollucci86442! You can steep it on the counter or in the fridge. I started mine on the counter, then transferred to the fridge overnight. The rule of thumb is to add water to the concentrate at a 50/50 dilution, just as you suggested! I added a lot of ice, too, and a bit of cream. Thank you for your comment and interest in our Azure Market Cold Brew Maker!
